A sign on a termination pylon of a 20 kV line in Serres, Germany

At most powerline owned by the power company EnBW AG, there is an aerial cable for internal communication installed. At the pylons where two segments come together, there is a sleeve required, which is for practical reason not on the top of the pylon. For running down the cable to the sleeve at EnBW powerlines often the cable is spun inside the pylons and tightened with weights at the lower end.

As "Prunerov 2" is further away from the point where the photograph was taken as "Prunerov 1", its chimney looks smaller on the picture.

Northeast of Straz, the powerline splits off into 2 lines. The line leaving the picture to the right runs to Prestice substation, the other branching to the left to Hradec substation. The line to Prestice substation was built in 1997 - 2 years after the synchronisation of the power grids of Czech and Germany. However the conductors for the line to Prestice were already installed in 1992, when the line to Hradec was built, on the section between Etzenricht and Straz, where it uses the same pylons as the line to Hradec, installed on the pylons.
